Eleven sewer and drain services, one crew
Clean it, fix one joint, line it, or dig it up and lay new pipe. Which one your line needs is decided on the camera footage, and you see that footage before you decide anything.
The dig list
Everything from the clean-out to the city main
Numbered roughly the way a bad line goes: cleaned, looked at, repaired, replaced. Each page says how we do that job and what it takes in your town.
-
01
Sewer Excavation
Digging to a broken, collapsed or new sewer line: located by camera first, opened only as wide as the repair needs, then bedded, backfilled and compacted.
-
02
Sewer Line Repair
Spot repairs for cracked pipe, roots, bellies, separated joints and short collapsed runs, so one bad section does not turn into a whole new line.
-
03
Sewer Line Replacement
Full or partial replacement when the line is too far gone: old clay, cast iron or Orangeburg out, new pipe in on gravel bedding at the right fall.
-
04
Hydro Jetting
High-pressure water that scours grease, scale, sludge and roots off the whole pipe wall, with the camera run before and after.
-
05
Sewer Camera Inspection
A camera run through the line from a clean-out, the problem located and marked on the ground, and the footage and photos yours to keep.
-
06
Trenchless Sewer Repair
Pipe lining, pipe bursting and trenchless spot repairs through small access pits, for lines the camera says are good candidates.
-
07
Sewer Line Installation
New sewer laterals for new homes, additions and remodels: routed, trenched, bedded, sloped, camera-checked before backfill and tied into the main.
-
08
24/7 Emergency Sewer Service
Sewage in the basement, every drain backed up, a line that let go in a storm: a person answers day or night and a truck comes with the jetter and the camera.
-
09
Backwater Valve Installation
A one-way valve on the main sewer line that lets your wastewater out and closes when the city sewer surcharges, for homes and businesses below street level.
-
10
Downspout Drains
Buried drain lines that carry roof water from the downspouts to a safe discharge point, and repairs to old ones that are clogged, crushed or routed wrong.
-
11
Main Drain Cleaning
Main line and branch drain cleaning when several fixtures back up at once: kitchen, bath, floor, laundry and the main sewer, cleared and camera-checked.
Homes and businesses
One crew for homes and businesses
Most of our calls are houses: a backup through the basement floor drain, a lateral full of roots, a yard that stays wet over the line. The rest are businesses. A carwash operator has hired us as a subcontractor to jet its drain lines more than once, and a real estate company sends us every sewer inspection and repair it needs.
Restaurant kitchens are their own case. Illinois requires grease interceptors in commercial kitchens, and grease that gets past them coats the line until it closes. We jet those lines, camera them, and install backwater valves for retail, office and multi-unit buildings.
We have subcontracted their services to hydro jet drain lines in the Carwash industry several times. They have the equipment and knowledge to get any job in the sewer world done correctly.
Answers
Before you pick a service
What sewer and drain services does Dig N Drain offer?
Eleven: sewer excavation, sewer line repair and replacement, hydro jetting, sewer camera inspection, trenchless sewer repair, new sewer line installation, 24/7 emergency sewer service, backwater valve installation, downspout drains and main drain cleaning. Every one starts with the camera, for homes and businesses alike.
Do you give a price before starting work?
Yes. You get the scope of the work and the price before we begin, with no surprise fees. On most jobs the price follows a camera inspection, because the depth, the length of pipe and what sits on top of it are what set the cost.
Which service do I need if I don’t know what is wrong?
A camera inspection. It shows whether you are dealing with a clog, roots, a broken joint, a belly or a collapsed section, and where it is. From there the right service is clear, and you see the footage yourself instead of taking anyone’s word for it.
Do you handle the permits?
Yes. Permits and inspections are part of the job: Jimmy wrote that we handled all the necessary permits with the city before, during and after his repair. The rules differ by town, from Belleville’s day-before call to the plant to Fairview Heights’ $2,500 street-cut bond, and we line them up.
Not sure which one?
Tell us what your drains are doing
Which drains, since when, and whether water is coming up anywhere. We will start with the camera and go from there.
